Morning pages have become a powerful mode of release recently.
Morning Pages (mp) involves writing three pages of longhand stream-of-consciousness writing first thing in the morning, preferably before engaging with any other activities or distractions.
It is from Julia Cameron in her book "The Artist's Way".
